YOU CAN MATTER!

Opportunities to Matter:

ANYTIME
You can give money to support our work in Sand Springs and in East Asia at any time on the homepage or through House Churches on Monday nights or at our Worship Encounter on Sundays.  We are continually working to meet needs in our city and around the world.  Our work in East Asia has expanded.  We are fully supporting a full-time missionary there who has just started a House Church in an unreached city.  He is working hard to build bridges and evangelize the area.  We need to give him more support.

SUNDAYS – Worship Encounter

Volunteer to help on the set-up crew, children’s ministry, tear down crew, greeter, hospitality table, etc… Isaiah Bill to find out where you can serve isaiah@churchthatmatters.com

OCTOBER 9 – WORK DAY FOR HOUSE CHURCH @ 193rd.
This is an opportunity to matter to each other.  Our House Churches periodically have work days at one of the member’s houses to help them do minor repairs, minor remodeling, painting, clean-up etc… to catch up on the honey-do list that never seems to get done.  You don’t have to be a member of that specific House Church to jump in.  Anyone is welcome to help.  It is 4 hours of working together to make a difference in each other’s lives.  This work day will take place at the home of Will and Gwen Firey.  For information or to get involved, contact David Segraves at 918.521.5835

OCTOBER 9 – Garage sale to benefit Kids That Matter.
If you have items to donate or would like to help with organizing, pricing, or working the sale please contact Aliesha Autrey at 918.853.8593

OCTOBER 16
Sand Springs Soap Box Derby     AND       Car and Hair CARE Event

The Sand Springs Soap Box Derby is an annual event in downtown Sand Springs which draws over 300 participants and hundreds of spectators.  We will participate by setting up a booth and handing out free bottled water.  We will work to build relationships and have some conversations that matter with people we come in contact with.  We need volunteers to man the booth and to hand out water.  We will also have opportunity to pray with people as they have need. See www.sandspringsderby.com/ for more details on the derby event.

Car and Hair CARE Eventis a partnership with Tulsa Technology Center at Charles Page High School.  We offer free oil changes and inspections for single mothers, widows, and wives of military servicemen whose husbands are serving overseas.  We also offer free hair cuts, shampoo and style to these ladies and their families.  This will be our second time doing this ministry.  It was a great blessing to those who were ministered to last time and to those who were there to minister.

You can serve as:
a technician – helping the students with the oil changes
a registration volunteer
a hospitality crew member who helps set up and run the room where we have drinks and snacks for people as they wait for their vehicle
a prayer warrior who pray with each person or family who comes through
or various other opportunities to serve

You can also contribute financially to these opportunities.  It costs significantly for us to provide free bottled water and oil filters and oil for these events.  You can give online or at House Church or in our Weekend Worship Encounters.
